3-Week Yoga Retreat, Week 2, Day 5 – Flow On-the-Go

So, I ended up skipping a few days in the program. I had a very busy weekend, with taking the kids school shopping and hanging out with them, so I missed the whole weekend, but I don’t mind because my kids and I had a great time. Then Monday kind of got away from me. I was really tired after work and then took a nap, did some things around the house, and then before I knew it, it was bedtime. The same thing kind of happened to me today and it’s now really late, but I’m going to do the video anyway since it’s only 19 minutes long, and hopefully it will tire me out and I’ll fall asleep a lot easier tonight!

Before 3-Week Yoga Retreat, Day 5 – Flow On-the-Go: It’s 10:30 p.m., and I probably should be going to bed right now because I have to get up super early to get the kids, but here I am. I’m feeling tired. Haven’t really felt good all day, but tonight’s video is shorter than usual, and I’m hoping it will help me to feel better.

WORKOUT TOOLS:
1. Yoga mat. Yoga is really, really difficult to do without a mat because it’s much harder to stabilize yourself and hold the poses without one. If you don’t have one, I really recommend getting one.
2. Optional yoga block. This is handy to have if you aren’t flexible or have poor balance and could use the extra support. I don’t have one and it’s definitely not required.

After 3-Week Yoga Retreat, Day 5 – Flow On-the-Go: Well, I don’t know how smart it was to do that this late at night, because it definitely gave me more energy. haha. It felt really good to do, though. It was a lot like Day 4’s Flow video, but a little faster and not as many poses. I loved the ones we did though, and it felt like a good, quick workout. I’m glad I did it, even though I might stay up a little later than I intended. haha.

For anyone reading, I definitely recommend doing these videos earlier in the day and not waiting until bedtime EXCEPT for the Take 10 – PM videos. Those are actually designed to help you relax and unwind from the day to help you sleep better!

Anyway, I suppose I should go try to unwind a little more and get to bed! Thank you for reading. Check back tomorrow for my thoughts on Day 6’s video, Relax! (Which probably would’ve been much better for me to do tonight, now that I think about it. haha)
